Rabbitlord: I want a waterproof computer in my shower. In fact, I want a terminal in every room of my house, mounted to the wall. That would rule.
Allanon: HI!!!!!!!
Monkeyman: Mia: :-)
wintermute: RL: That would be cool. And it's doable, if expensive.
Monkeyman: 'Lo, non.
wintermute: The only tricky bit is waterproofing the cable access.
Rabbitlord: Yeah...
Monkeyman: I really need to get some packing done today.
wintermute: Assuming that you only actually have a keyboard and screen in the shower.
Rabbitlord: Well, it would be fixed to the wall. like all the others.
Monkeyman is away.
wintermute: Yeah...
wintermute: You don't need floppy drives in there, I assume...
Rabbitlord: I wouldn't need a separate computer for each room, just a terminal.
wintermute: Of course. That was the model I was thinking of.
Rabbitlord: So I could be in Chat, go upstairs to take a shower, and continute chatting.
Monkeyman: That would rule.
Rabbitlord: Of course, if I wanted to play a game, I'd need a mouse and joystick, too.
Allanon has left.
wintermute: RL: Use a tablet, or a touchpad rather than a mouse.
Monkeyman: Well, except for the "I'm washing my ----- now" comments that would inevitably result.
Rabbitlord: O_o/.
Rabbitlord: And I'd need more than one computer in the end, anyway. To play multiplayer games with. If I could select which computer each terminal is connected to, and change it on the fly.
wintermute: Monkey: It's when he decides he needs a webcam in there that I'm worrying.
Rabbitlord: .... O_o
Monkeyman: =-O
Rabbitlord: Of course, it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a mic and camera attached to each terminal anyway, if only so I could hear and see what's going on at others.
Monkeyman: Rl: Spying on guests in the shower, eh? Naughty.
* wintermute faceplants his keyboard.
Rabbitlord: And it would be really cool to be able to change which computer each terminal is connected to from any other.
Rabbitlord: Monkeyman: That's only one of the many applications!
Rabbitlord: And if I could get as many computers as I had terminals, the applications would skyrocket.
Rabbitlord: Especially if I could set processors to work in parallel from any terminal. So if I only needed one computer, I could choose a terminal, tell all the computers to process in parallel, and get fantastic performance.
